While it is true that menstrual hygiene is a very personal issue, it is also a natural healthy and clean phenomenon half the planet is concerned with during over 40 years of their lives. Despite this, menstruation has been a taboo across almost all societies. People with menstruation are taught to not talk about periods or the effects they may have, be discreet, and hide their personal menstrual products. Moreover, many menstruators around the world do not have access to menstrual products such as tampons or pads. Despite common beliefs, this is true both in developing countries and developed countries. This impedes on professionals' and students' lives.
Therefore, we believe that businesses and schools who want to provide excellent working and learning environments, and who have an interest in workerks and students well-being should provide tampons and pads as a basic necessity, just like toilet paper, coffee or snacks.
